Designed in Bermoll, Germany, TIAN challenges the traditional design of watches. TIAN gets its name and inspiration from Tian Harlan, the founder of the brand Chromachron, which designed watches without a minute or second hand. With all the technology and constant stimulation surrounding us, the concept to "slow things down" gave birth to the TIAN watch design. Minimal and sophisticated, the watch uses color blocks to represent a full hour and every line represents 15 minutes.
They also take a unique approach to packaging compared to other watch brands. It is designed like a book hoping to entice people to keep it as novelty instead of simply throwing it away. Their aim is to produce 100% plastic free packaging, made locally in Germany. The only thing that is missing is the rubber strap to keep the packaging closed and they are already working on an alternative.
